Introduction:
Department of Computer Science was established in 1990. This was first department in entire University area. It offers many courses from junior college to research level. The courses such as B.Sc.(optional),B.Sc.(CS), B.C.A., M.Sc., M.C.A. and Ph.D. in Computer Science are offered by the department. Many students of this department are serving in foreign countries such as USA, UK, Qatar, Saudi, Singapore and Hongkong. Many students are serving in central and state government services. Currently research in Face recognition, pattern classification, educational technologies and image processing is offered by department.

Admission/Eligibility/Criteria/ Procedure :
- UG
A] For B.Sc./B.Sc.(CS) :-
Must have passed 10+2 or Equivalent Examination in Science
B] For BCA/B.Voc.(SD) :-
Must have passed10+2 or Equivalent Examination of Arts / Science / Commerce / MCVC
- P.G. : B.Sc. / BCA / B.Sc. (CS) Graduates
- Ph.D. : PG in Computer + NET/SET/PET Exam

Department has a best infrastructure with four computer labs of size 25*20 feet each having broadband internet connection. The department also has a Wi-Fi facility. Department has following equipments:
- One HP Proliant Gen8 Server
- 50 HP Desktop Computers
- 03 Laser and 2 Dot Matrix Printers
- Digital electronics & microprocessor trainer kits available
- LCD Projector is available for ICT based education
- KYAN Digital Classroom Board is available
